An amazing interview with No Boundaries International
No Boundaries International were happy to give us an interview and tell us a little about themselves. We’re proud to have worked with them and it’s our pleasure to give them the spotlight. This is what they shared with us:
To begin with, we would like you to briefly tell us about your organization
WHAT we do: We respond to God’s call by meeting basic needs and providing inner healing, medical care, and discipleship to those in devastation. HOW we do what we do: We restore, train and deploy the Body of Christ into areas of devastation. WHY we do what we do: Devastation should not have lifetime effects, so we cross any border to bring the Good News to communities.
- What do you do exactly?
And what was the reason that encouraged you to start this organization?
No Boundaries International is a faith based 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry dedicated to bringing hope to any type of devastation whether it’s a natural or manmade disaster, both locally as well as internationally. Here in the Oklahoma area, NBI well known for our drive to stop modern day slavery known as “human trafficking” that is occurring on the streets of Oklahoma City including victims as well as offenders. However, our experience has led us to reach out to anyone in need: whether it is the prostituted woman, the at-risk child, the homeless individual or those struggling with addiction and brokenness, No Boundaries seeks to reach out on a street level and provide realistic solutions to those in need.
As a result, NBI operates a community center within an Oklahoma City area known for human trafficking, high crime, poverty, and at-risk children and youth. In addition, No Boundaries has a “Safe Friends” program which meets the needs of those exiting from trafficking, a free clothes closet called “Carina’s Closet”, a free food pantry, ministry to the homeless, and tutoring for the at-risk children in the area. Therapy is also available for those in need, under the guidance of well-known trauma therapist and NBI co-founder, Dr. Lori Basey. Prayer, intercession and teaching are held weekly at the community center which is located within the human trafficking track.
- What motivates you?

NBI believes that it will take a strong community driven response in order to address the issues that we encounter on the streets of Oklahoma City. Certainly no one organization can fight this alone. It will take a combination of awareness, intervention, prevention and fundraising by many individuals, groups and organizations in order to make a strong impact.
- Tell us about your goals
–To operate our Firehouse Community Center (with free clothes closet and food pantry) on a weekly basis to our outreach area of 73109
–To continue human trafficking/street outreach throughout the year
–To bring awareness and prevention of human trafficking to the community at large throughout the year
–To bring restoration and wholeness to those in need with personal and group opportunities throughout the year
- What was the hardest/toughest moment you had to deal with?
Obstacles you faced when dealing with bureaucracy, permits, funding, etc. Something you would like to point out to anyone who might be starting their own organization.
Our organization is unique in that we are 100% volunteer driven–no one gets paid a salary. This means that we are highly dependent on donations and in-kind gifts in order to fund or supply our outreaches. This makes us highly reliant on prayer and the generosity of donors to help us run our outreaches.
- What was the most fulfilling moment that happened to you?
Our most fulfilling moments come when we help girls who are trapped in human trafficking, escape their destructive life and begin the rebuilding process for their lives. This can be a long process often taking 3-5 years.
- What separates you from the rest? Why you?
There are few organizations that are faith based and doing street outreach in the anti-human trafficking realm.
- Do you have any upcoming events in the forthcoming months?
